More questions about winterization
Now my new question. My camper will be winterize in two weeks. The engine (E450) V-10 last oil change was done approximately 3 months ago and it probably does have 1500 miles on it. for this winter I am planning to drive the camper once a month to exercise the generator, and probably drive between 10 and 15 miles per month to move the engine/transmission parts. Now should I wait until early Spring to change the oil and filter? or should I change it now and then again next Spring? Thanks.

I'm no mechanic...but I've always gone with whatever the manufacturer recommends. I'm always afraid of voiding warranties, or simply adding to wear.
In your case, I think it's safe to say you are probably good until Spring. I'm assuming the engine break-in was done according to Owners Manual...and you are operating on clean oil (not break in). If not, I'd change it right away.
A little overkill on oil changing will never hurt...IMHO.

The vehicle does have 16,400 miles. I purchased it used last few months ago. At the time of purchase, the oil was changed. I hoped that the previous owner did follow the manufacture break-in period. Thanks.

Did the vehicle come with the service records? if not, was there a sticker on the windshield with the last place service was done, and when the next due is?? Then you can go to that place and they can pull the records for you.

by (break in) I meant the oil that came in it originally. My reasoning is that new engines may get some particulate in the oil. No sense taking a chance.

I purchased the vehicle very very far away from home in Danville, VA. No maintenance record, but the oil was changed at the time of the purchase of the camper. I also had the transmission and the differential fluid changed too.

Well you changed the other fluids and I take it the oil looks good & reasonably clear, so unless you are in a northerly climate and want to shift down to a lighter grade for those winter starts, I'd let it go til next spring.

My last final question about winterization. I completed the process, and I am very confident that I did everything that it needs to be done to winterize my camper. Now, I received a flyer from Camping World, and their winterization price is $99.00 plus parts. But if you want your water filter winterize it will cost and additional $10.00. What kind of process they have to do to the water filter. In my case, I removed the water filter cartridge prior to winterize the camper. Do I need to do anything else? After completing the winterization process, my water filter empty clear canister was full of antifreeze. I took that antifreeze and emptied it into the traps. Do I need to do anything else in regards to the water filter/canister. Should I have to leave some antifreeze in that clear empty canister? Thanks.

If it's empty there isn't anything to freeze. Leave it empty.

I left mine full...but you had a good idea using it elsewhere...I never even thought of it. Shouldn't matter either way.
