For those of you who picked up your motor home from RVW in Ohio, I'm assuming you took it for a test drive? Do you have any recommendations on a route to take for the test drive or specific issues you may have encountered / items to look for during the test drive? Any other advice to offer?

Thanks!
We ordered our Forester GTS 2801 in mid October and just got a call from Scott at RVW this past weekend that it was in! Don't think we will be rushing to Ohio before Christmas. This thread has given me lots of good things to think about! Probably need to figure on a few days stay if I find anything seriously wrong, not that I expect any issues.

It is very reasonable to expect some issues and to expect to have all of them taken care of before you leave. Be very patient, curious, and detailed. Budget more time and dollars than you think you will need and be very nice to everyone, but serious.

They are use to dealing with quite a few pushovers and buyers who can be talked off. Ask questions and sometimes ask how do they know that XYZ is true.

Don't forget to look for water damage and see if you can get a water pressure soap bubble test done - yes you will pay for that.

Treat it more like a used unit.

Thank you everyone for your replies and the information you provided. I have quite an extensive list of things to go over during the PDI. I have pulled items from several other PDI documents that I found on this forum and other forums. From what I've heard from other people who have purchased from RVW, their PDI folks are patient with buyers during the PDI process. I hope so!

Dovidas1944, I see from your profile that you are in Chambersburg, PA. We're in the Finger Lakes region of New York State (Groton, New York) so it looks like we both have quite a trip ahead of us. Have fun with your new unit!
