New battery powered refrigerator

I recently purchased a brand new 2022 Forrester 2441DS. It has the new battery powered only refrigerator. I keep the RV plugged in to shore power next to my house on a fairly level surface. To keep the refrigerator plugged in and running must I have the new RV leveled ? My previous RV was a 2010 class A Winnebago Sunstar gas rig which had a refrigerator that could run on gas or electric and had to be level when plugged in and running electric.

Love the new RV but has many differences than the Winnebago so still learning.

Level is not important with a compressor. Ammonia filled absorption fridges are more critical however the newer ones are not as finicky as the older models.

I have read a spec saying up to 30° tilt is acceptable. Of course at that angle the bed might not work too good.

As a previous US Navy submariner, I can tell you that the bed does not work good at 30 degrees angle. But it sure was fun to slide down the waxed deck between the missile tubes!

Sorry to possibly hijack the thread, but this may be relevant. Does anyone know which direction the ammonia adsorption refrigerator is level sensitive, front to back, side to side, or both?

I would say all around level.
Well my old class a Had old style frig.
The never cold brand. New 5th has 12V frig.
Love it. Plugged in works like a charm
Any future rig I get has to have the 12V type.

For Norcold, normal leveling of the vehicle is sufficient. The refrigerator is made to operate within 3 degrees off level side-to-side and 6 degrees off level front-to-back (looking at the front of the refrigerator). This is from my N611 manual.

Thats brings us back to the OP. While leveling is not important with a compressor fridge, the slideouts may not react well to severe tilt.

I believe side-to-side is more critical. The problem is that if it isn't level enough the cooling liquids won't drain properly and if they stay in one place one of the chemicals solidifies and plugs up the tubing. If you look at the back you'll see the tubing slopes side-to-side but not much front-to-back. If it's out of level too much there's not enough slope to keep the liquid moving. I don't know how many degrees of slope is okay, but the Dometic manual says if it's comfortable to walk around it's okay.
