new short queen ideas?

Going into year four and we are talking about a new mattress before summer hits. We got the factory upgrade and it has been ok. But we have a sleep number at home and really enjoy a cooler sleep. Anyone tried the dynastymatress from amazon? Or any other cool suggestions? May consider just a short queen and forgo the radius, any first adoptors out there?

Sams club sells rv sized mattress. Think we spent $200. Take measurements first.

We tossed the factory short queen mattress (? if you could call the straw & plastic wad a mattress) ordered and replaced with 10" queen Spa-Sensation from WallyWorld, I used an electric knife and cut length to fit.
With bad back, neck & shoulders ~ able to sleep wonderfully on this one.

We have been looking at this one and haven't even had our camper out yet but know what we have will not work. Haven't decided on a topper or this mattress. It has a 90% satisfaction rate on Amazon 4-5 stars with 5000+ reviews. Not sure whether we will buy a topper for $60 or this mattress for $160 but it looks good. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BW7H5G6...ustomerReviews

We purchased this one from Amazon and took a 5 week trip, exactly 35 days and never had a bad nights sleep due to the mattress. I think it's exactly the same as Okmechanic's post but a bit cheaper. (I don't know why)

We tried a topper on that excuse of a mattress ~ big waste of $$ no matter how much you spend. Need something to fit the topper on/around to make it work even for a short weekend. Don't do it, just get a real mattress and be extremely happier.

If you like the sleep number at home, you will love it in the RV. The original matress on a plywood plank sucks. We carry the old matress to use on the fold out couch. Much more comfortable there.

Zinus mattress

Check out Zinus on Amazon. Brand that is in my Cardinal. Ordered one for the house. Sleeps better than my $2000.00 house mattress. The king memory premium cloud-like is just 291.00. Zinus short queen/rv camper mattresses are prolly cheaper. My mattress is like heaven and I have major back issues.

Regular mattress

We bought our trailer used and immediately threw out that mat they refer to as a mattress in fact I threw out all of them. The queen size bed has about 6-8in of dead space since itís a short queen. We bought a full size posturpedic mattress at a place that gets second from Sears. It fills in the space perfect and itís so comfy. I found a place that makes mattresses for RVs and had all new ones made for the bunks.

Replacing short-queen mattress

We bought our first TT a year ago (new) and spent exactly two nights on the factory mattress, which was two too many. We bought from Amazon a "Perfect Cloud Atlas gel-plus 10" memory foam mattress" in short-queen for about $400. Not the cheapest out there, but we spent a month on it this summer and liked it just as much as our icomfort memory foam in the house. Spend the money and you'll be happy you did. You'll enjoy your trips much more if you sleep comfortably. Good luck!!

Houglou,
For my 2300 I replaced the regular queen with a short queen. The radius doesnít come into play because of the shorten mattress. What it does is provide a step, that I carpeted, which along with a grab bar makes it easier to get into and out of the corner bed.
As someone previously mentioned, I purchased this one:

Zinus Master 10 inch Short Queen from Amazon

pics?

swuebbels,

Sounds like a great solution, could you throw a pic? I think our bed measures 76 x 60.

Thanks!

I have the same as swuebbels. Had it since Oct '15. Still comfortable as can be.

https://www.amazon.com/Zinus-Master-.../dp/B00JRHI1LM

Before I ordered this mattress, I wasted my time and money by putting a 4" topper on top of a crappy mattress. It felt like a 4" topper on top of a crappy mattress.

So I put a sheet of luan between the topper and the mattress. No better. When the base is uncomfortable, so is everything put on top of it.

I think you'd be very pleased.

we bought the Dynasty short queen from Amazon and we love it. My wife has a bad back and it is just right for her. we are both big people and the mattress is very very firm. That is the only complaint we have ever heard about it other than some say there was a chemical smell. we did not experience that. We are happy and it was only $362 shipping free. got it in about 10 days. We had it in our motor home and when we bought our trailer we just traded mattress letting the dealer have the new one that came with the trailer.

quoting DW

I was wrong, my bed is like yours, 80 x 60 with a radius. Quoting DW she told me "guess you were holding the dumb end of the tape" (where the number is always zero). We like the idea of a step.

Add another vote for Zinus memory foam.

Got short queen for the rv and liked so much we just replaced both queens in the house with the same thing just thicker and full queen instead of short.

Love the way we sleep on them.

Couple hundred for the one in rv and other two were more but thicker etc.
