New to Jacks in C classes

After having 4 C classes, just got one with hydraulic jacks. I’ve read about the feet getting stuck and not rising on command. What type of ground do they get stuck in? And how long have they been down? I’m trying to avoid a stuck-down situation. Thanks.

Uni-directional hydraulic systems are unlikely to get “stuck”. If you park on soft ground you can sink. That could happen in a heavy rain as well. There are snap pads, larger oem pads and other things you can do to prevent sinking. I park on sand at TopSail NC and use large nylon industrial cutting boards as “flotation” devices. Some parks with asphalt sites require something under the jacks to prevent cratering their parking areas. Lumber works just as well.
