No dash AC

Anyone have a problem with their dash e450 AC? Worked great last time I used it 3 weeks ago. I started rig up today and the compressor is not engaging at all.

Sounds like your system has developed a leak that will need to be found and repaired. The system will prevent the compressor from turning on when the Freon level is low to prevent damage to the expensive components (compressor, etc) as the Freon acts as a carrier for the small amounts of oil that is in the system keeping everything lubricated.

Had that issue earlier this summer on a long trip. All of a sudden no dash air. Did some research online and found that the pressure switch for the accumulator located by the battery can go bad. I jumped the wires on the switch and it worked! So I ran down to my Ford dealer and picked up a new switch and had to by the wiring harness also as the configuration for the replacement had changed. Cost about $50. Just followed the instructions that came with the switch and harness. Switch was easy to replace as it just unscrews from a shrader valve on the tank and the wiring harness spliced in. I think there is a Youtube video on how to replace it if you need it.

Just found out that the switch is covered under warranty. Call your Ford dealer.

Yup went to pick up switch and dealer told me Just bring rig in everything should be completely covered. If I buy just the the part I would have to pay for it. So I'm going to schedule an appt. I will post back what problem was for anyone experiencing same issue.

Glad you're getting it fixed under warranty.
