That is a great question. I like class C motorhomes without slides. They are great for travel, with full time beds, fewer entry points for drafts, water, and bugs, and fewer things to break. I owned one for about 21 years. Currently from Forest River on line brochures, here are 13 non-slide models that I found:
Sunseeker 2350LE (Ford E-350, Chevy 3500)
Sunseeker TS2380 (Ford Transit)
Forester 2351LE (Ford E-350, Chevy 3500)
Forester TS2381 (Ford Transit)
Coachmen Cross Trek, models 20XG, 21XG (Both Ford Transit)
Coachmen Cross Trek, models 22XG, 23XG, 30XG (All Ford E-350)
Coachmen Freelander, models 22XG, 27QB (Both Ford E-350)
Coachmen Leprechaun, models 220XG, 270QB (Both Ford E-350)
It is apparent at Forest River that non-slide models are built on a class 3 truck chassis. The slide models use both class 3 or 4 (and up for Dynamax) truck chassis, depending on floorplan. All Forest River M-B Sprinter models have slides. All Dynamax Cs and super Cs have slides.
Coachmen seems to have the most offerings for non-slide class Cs. I personally find the Coachmen Cross Trek Transit to be an appealing design for a really compact class C.
