Onan Generator Circuit Breaker

In the aftermath of Hurricane Michael I let one of our employees live in our 2016 25' Forester for 6 months. When I got the motor home back I started up the (LP) generator just to run it and when I went to put a load on it I noticed none of the electric was working in the coach. I went to reset the breaker on the generator and it wouldn't reset and felt a bit "sloppy". It has kicked off in the past so I assume the breaker may be bad. Is this breaker hard to replace? Am I overlooking anything. Thanks for any suggestions. FYI we use or generator very little.

I wouldn't think such a fairly new rig would have an issue with a breaker, but I guess it's possible - the breaker is still a typical breaker you would find at most hardware stores, though 'how' to replace it is the question...I suppose you have to remove the panel/cover of the generator to get to it - then it's simply unplugging it, removing the output wire, and replace it with the new unit, reattaching the output wire, and plugging back in.

One thing to check, first, though, is whether the current breaker's output wire is attached firmly...it could be that it's simply loose, not making a good connection.

Did you turn it off then back on? That's what you have to do with any breaker. Push it hard into off.

Yes I did try to reset it several times. Like I said it felt unusually "loose". I'll check all connections before I try to replace it...thanks.
