One more winterizing question

On my 2017 Forester 2861DS, Finding the hot water tank shut off, I found three shutoff valves, one on the blue line (open position), one on the red line (open), and one that connects the blue line with the red line (closed). I assume this is the shutoff valve and just open the valve. So for by-pass of the hot water tank just open the valve. My question is then, do I close the other valves to complete the shutoff procedure?
Underneath tied to the blue drain line (from the freshwater tank) is a red line that is capped. This must be a drain from the hot water tank. So I drained that line too. Thanks for the info on the water filter.

Yes open the the middle valve connecting red and blue then close the blue line valve into water heater and close red line valve coming from water heater.

Yes - close both the blue line valve and red line valve so water/antifreeze cannot pass into the HW tank. The valve in the middle is your bypass valve - open that one as you presumed above. The red line that is capped under the camper is not the HW tank drain - it is more likely a low point drain of your hot water lines. To drain the HW tank (if it is a Suburban) use a 1-1/16 socket to pull the anode rod out near the bottom of the tank (outside)
