Outdoor sprayer only a trickle
Greetings. I have a Sunseeker 2400R. It has an outdoor sprayer on a coiled hose with a quick disconnect. I tried to use it yesterday and it would build up some pressure (on city water) but when I opened the sprayer it would quickly drop down to just a trickle. I pulled the quick disconnect and it looked fine, I unscrewed the plastic pipe and noticed there was a brass fitting with an O ring at the connection to the motor home. I pushed on it with a screwdriver and it moved just a little, I noticed I could spin it around a little too. With the water pressure on, I could get a little bit of spray out of it when I pushed on it with a screwdriver. I'm not sure if it is some kind of a check valve or what. I have attached a picture. Anyone have a clue? Getting good water flow on everything else with both city water or pump.

There was a thread a few days ago about this same problem.
I believe there was debris in that check valve you pushed with the screwdriver.
That person had to remove the supply line from the back of the sprayer port (inside the RV) to gain access to the debris to clean.

There seems to be junk in the water lines left over from construction. It all does not clog screens in fixtures all at once. Takes time to get it out. Several times now I have had to clean said screens!

Looks like that supply line is under my shower. Can't see a way to get to it. Maybe I could back flush it?

You could but that probably wouldn't remove the debris... just reposition it.
But it is worth a try.

Joe - Your connection looks different than the one on our 2012. That said, if it were me I would drill out the two pop-rivets holding the white ring around the connection in place and see if I could the remove the connector and clean it out.
Again, yours looks different, but on mine the connector screws on to a pvc pipe. I believe I could grab the pipe with a channel-lock pliers and unscrew the connector with a wrench, working through the opening.
Obviously, if in warranty and your dealer is easily accessible, just take it back and let them fix it.
Good Luck -
Jim

There is a heater vent under the shower. I may be able to take that out and see what the plumbing layout is..kind of wondering why there is a check valve (if that's what it is) there anyway

Maybe I could open the vanity faucet (it's close) and back flush the outdoor sprayer. It might push the debris out the vanity faucet. It would be easy to remove the vanity faucet to clear debris.

Jim, that's a 4" pvc pipe. Not sure I could get in there to drill out the pop rivets. I have an angled chuck for my drill but don' think there is room for it. Looks like that brass valve is screwed into the pvc end piece. Guess I'll pull my heater vent under the shower and see what I can see. Not sure why they put a check valve there anyway.

I saw a coach with the same problem just a couple of weeks ago. The supply line behind the valve was kinked. It was a flexible supply line that allowed for the whole unit to be pulled out of the wall. Just remove the four mounting screws and carefully cut the caulk. Then you should be able to pull the entire unit out to service it.

BooHyde, thanks for that info. I was about to the point of trying to remove it from the outside. There is a heater vent under the shower. I may remove that and see if I can reach in and unkink from there.

I removed the heater vent under the shower and was able to feel where the hose was kinked. I could barely get my arm in there but was able to pull on the blue PEX piping that was connected to the white flexible tubing and straighten out the kink. Now it flows like it's supposed to. Thank you everyone for taking the time to help.

Glad it was something you easily fixed rather than dealing with the/a dealer.

I found sometimes just looking at it for a bit, you can figure out how/where it is to fix. Did that a few times myself!
