Pioneer Audio (Radio) with Backup camera

I’m exploring my new Sunseeker 3010DSF in my driveway as I transfer everything out of my truck and camper and can’t seem to get the Pioneer Media Unit (for a better word radio) to show me anything (media menu) other than the back camera view unless I put the RV in reverse. What do I not understand about this. The Ford manual does not cover the Pioneer unit and the Pioneer manual is useless, particularly if you can’t get to the menu.

your reverse light wire coming from the radio should be connected to the reverse light positive wire so that it gets power only when the rig is shifted into reverse. to check take a volt meter and check for voltage when the rig is shifted into reverse and when not in reverse, there should not be any voltage detected. Sounds like the reverse light wire from the radio is connected to something that is 12 volt all the time.

On all Forester/Sunseeker units the camera is “supposed” to be an observation camera. It also serves as a reverse camera so I’d question why it goes off when selecting reverse. You can select the camera off mode by touching the X icon on the screen or via the “apps” mode which is selected via the center button on the left side of the radio.

Otherwise the only reason you should see the rear view display change is when selecting left or right turn signal which, if installed, will bring up the side camera view.
