Question about bed on Sunseeker 2430 ONLY

1. Is there a step by step, or sequence for gaining access under the bed?
I saw a number of dome snaps along the bottom of the mattress, so that’s
why I’m asking. I noticed a very long hinge all along the underside of the
end of the bed too.

2. What mechanisms, parts, pipes etc. might be under there for servicing?

Thanks

While I didn't have a 2430 we did have a 2400W. The snaps are to push and pull the mattress halves in and out with the slide out. If you undo the snaps you get to manually move the mattress halves around....guess how I know.

Our 2400W had very limited space under the bed that was accessed via a cabinet door. It also had an inset at the foot of the bed for storage. That was all the storage it had under the bed. I just found a couple pictures on the web, see attached, that show how ours was set up.

When I looked under the hinged area it was basically wasted space with a lot of wiring and plumbing.

Hope this helps...

I’m in violation for posting because I do not have a 2430. However, speculation may have some value.

The snaps on the mattress are to affix the foot end mattress half to the bed base. The hinge is so the foot end mattress platform can float across the moving slide portion for the head end half.

Judging from the floor plan, it’s very likely that the fresh water tank is under the bed. There is also the possibility that the converter and other electricals may be there. Do you have any removable access panels on the sides of the bed base?

Sorry for the blurry picture from the internet. I don’t have the 2430 in my driveway yet. We pick it up tomorrow.

Sunseeker vs Forester vs Isata 3.....this full wall slide floor plan is named differently for each and has all kinds of small variations. On the 2430, there’s no access doors facing the camera, and there’s his n hers drawers at the base of the bed.

Removing the drawers, you’ll be able to see what’s back there.

From external views, it looks like the fresh water fill port is on the rear of the camper, feeding the water tank under the bed behind those drawers.
