Question for BClemens, Sunseeker Full Body Paint
Hi Brian,
I was hoping you could answer a few questions, we are very close to ordering a Sunseeker 2400r MBS.
- Does the Platinum version still have the silver painted hood on the chassis, or did they recently go with a lighter color on the hood. I noticed some of the earlier Clay colored Foresters had a brownish hood but the newer releases have a lighter creamish color. I saw the attached pics and thought the same change is being made on the Sunseeker Platinum color as well.
- Now that Solera is being phased out/into the Sunnseeker brand, can the Cappuccino paint option be ordered as an option/request on the Sunseeker or is the Cappuccino paint color being removed from production completely?
- left field question, could side windows be added to the dinette slide like those similar to the back bed slide?
Thank you kindly.

Gio,
- I will check on the hood and get a confirmation for you.
- Cappuccino can not be used on the new Sunseeker MBS.
- We can not do a window slide one in a rear slide. It either comes with a window or does not.

Hi Josh,
Thank you for the reply and checking on the paint for us.
- If possible, could you snap a pic of the Platinum Sunseeker body paint as it is currently being done at the factory so I can show my wife.
- regarding the windows, I figured as much, guess no harm in asking though : )

Gio, I'm picking up my 3170DS tomorrow, but I snapped a pic when I was at the dealer Friday doing paperwork. Finally arrived from the factory last week. Looks awesome with the full body platinum paint.

beautiful rig jaibyrd, congrats to you! Thanks for posting the pic. I assume the platinum full paint design would be the same on the MBS. Otherwise, I may just have to order what you got.

I am also interested in the answer since we have already ordered a Sunseeker MBS in platinum. I was assuming the hood would be in silver.
Gio,
FYI you will find much more information regarding the Sunseeker MBS under the Solera section. The Sunseeker MBS and Forester MBS owners tend to use this section since the models are identical to the Solera.

Unless things have changed since I bought my painted Sunseeker in 2012, paint patterns and logos are not identical between units. I saw several champagne painted 3120s before I received mine and all were painted differently. It appeared that the same templates were used but were placed in somewhat different locations on the coach. The Sunseeker Logo locations were in drastically different locations on the sides and rear. However I did not see any with different hood colors. I was told that the differences were up to the paint shop used which I think were 4 at the time as FR did not paint them in house. Maybe they do now.

Here is a current platinum scheme.
As you can see, Sunseeker and Sunseeker MBS are the same.
