Question for those with a 3100SS

I have a 2008 3100SS and have a (red) light on the breaker panel on the under/side of the bed but there is not a fuse for that light. It is about the 4 or 5 empty fuse spaces below the last fuse I see... any idea what that would be for?

I know that something is not right, because if I pull one of the fuses out I also get a red light where that fuse was...when I put it back the light goes out..

but there are no fuses where the red light is on. I don't want to take the bed apart if I don't have to.

Thanks

The red lights beside the 12 volt fuses illuminate when a fuse is blown, or in your case, missing. It indicates that a wire goes from the fuse connection to something. On our 2011 model 3100SS there are no services connected below the fuses that are in place, so I can't help you on that. My only suggestion is to turn the power off, both shore line and battery disconnect switch, remove the panel cover, and see if there is a wire connected to the fuse holder. If there is no wire, the red led is being grounded somehow. If there is a wire, all I can say is good luck tracing it.

You don't have to tear the bed apart to get to the power distribution panel. Four screws hold the front of the panel in place. You can see the 12 volt fuse holder terminals with the panel front panel off.

Lift the mattress and use the hinged bed bottom to prop it up. Lift out the compartment bottom. This gives access to the back of the panel. Also, the automatic transfer switch is under there.

Just means that you have 12v feeding a non- existent circuit. Leave it be unless you are fretting the red light being on.

Sorry, I didn't know what year they changed the bedroom floor to a step up configuration. They swapped storage space under the bed for more volume in the rear outside compartment.
