Danny T... welcome to the forum, I see it is your 1st post.

With that said, you really should have started a new thread because your question has nothing to do with the original posters question and therefor people wont see your question unless looking through the thread.

I am going to ask a mod to move your question to a new thread of its own.

You also should post the model of your Forester.

The more information you can provide, the better answers you'll get.

Rather than directly answer the question about your A/C filter, I’ll offer a link to the Forest River manuals so you can download and possibly print the manuals for all your RV’s components, including the air conditioner. When you have a problem out on the road somewhere, it’s nice to have the needed information handy.

You have a Dometic A/C and the singular filter is behind the section with the round holes. When you pry it open towards the front of the unit you can look up at the control box which should have a sticker with the model number. With that info you can use the ref. posted below and download/print the correct manual.

Also noteworthy is that your filter grille has the name “Dometic” cast in it. Since there is no shroud or holes in the ceiling from a larger grille one can extrapolate that you do not have an Atwood (also Dometic) Air Command rooftop unit that has had the lower service unit installed.

On many of these units (not sure about yours), the filter is simply a sheet of open-cell foam. Put some sudsy water in the sink and wash the filter. Rinse it well, let it dry, and put it back. No need to replace it.
