Rear bedroom speakers in Sunseeker 2860DS

Does anyone know if there is a way to run the RV stereo (in-dash) when set up at campsite? Speakers in back bedroom, so I would assume that you should be able to listen to radio when set up, why else would speakers be all the way back in bedroom. Radio has no power with key off. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

What year is your MH? Recent units (at least) have dual power to dash radio, either from ignition or coach. Is power on in your coach (battery disconnect in ON position).

2006 Forest River Sunseeker 2869DS

I have never seen any switch to give the radio dual power. Only would work if you put the key to accessory or RV was running. Also checked the battery disconnect switch.

A 2006 will not have a dual switch. Your ignition key does have to be on. On our 06 I found the power lead to the radio and ran a wire to the battery with a in-line fuse.

I've been wondering the same thing - and we have a 2009!

We didn't start wiring off of the house batteries until 2010 0r 2011.

They're wired with a relay...so if you driving down the road it will work off of the chassis battery. Key off...they'll switch to the house batteries automatically.
