Rear Bedroom Window...

Sunseeker 3040ds has one bedroom window, labeled emergency exit. It has a screen.... is there a way to utilize the window for ventilation??

Does it open ?? We have two in our 2018 Cherokee 304BS and we just open them up. You'd pull out the screen if you needed to exit thru the window.

A picture would help but generally just bring the bar straight out from the window and slide it out until the handle catches in the hole it goes through.

There is probably no position between full open and closed

Our SunSeeker has one on the drivers side and its an opening sliding window. When you release the red handles, the whole frame pivots out from the bottom. Normal operation is to slide open.

If the window you speak of is in the back wall of the motorhome, perhaps it’s been made so that it can’t be opened for ventilation. I vaguely remember hearing once that “rules” prevent having the rear window open because exhaust fumes could be drawn into the RV while traveling. Or maybe I heard that wrong.

Rear Bedroom Window...

We have a 2400R MBS and the back escape window is fixed in place and no screen. I’m pretty sure that BehindBars is correct. That’s also why modern SUVs do not have an opening back window. Fumes would come in while traveling if open even a little. When growing up my dad had a 58 Dodge Station wagon with a third row seat facing backwards. The back window would open but if you were back there it was a race wether you would suffocate or throw up first!

You said it has a screen ? Yeah...it's made to opened, but not during travel. We have one LRG window on our Cherokee that slides open with screen next to dinette and one in back bedroom with the bar and red handle that you unlock, push the bar thru the little slot in base of window, window opens and the little red handle locks in place to keep window open.
