Rear TV power while running
Is there a way to rewire the rear outlet for the TV in the bedroom so it will run off the inverter while driving?
With the radio, the kids wanting to watch TV or have music, it would be great to get them in the back bedroom.
Thanks

I thought the 2019 Forester models had 12 volt TVs. Is yours a 120 volt TV that came with the motorhome?

Correct. All latest models 3051/3011 should have 12 volt TVs that work just fine while driving. The only things that require AC power are the air conditioner, converter and microwave. Refrigerator can operate on AC but better on propane.

Yes, it came with the motorhome
Hmmm, I'll check it again.

My 3170ds does not have a 12v tv in the bedroom but there is a 120v plug and a 12v cigarette lighter receptacle. I use an inverter for power and it works fine

Question: Are the kids seat belted in in the back bedroom? The units I've been in have the couch or dining areas with seat belts, but not the bedroom areas. If not, no-one should be "loose", especially kids. Safety First!

I agree. I bought a 90” seatbelt setup and drilled it into the plywood base of the rear queen bed in my sunseeker 3010ds Now anyone in the rear queen bed can be seat belted in when we drive!

Yes, the TV is 12 volt and wired separately.
I need the outlet to be 12 volt as well to run a movie/bluray player

So you have a 12V TV (weknowdis) and a 12V Blu-Ray? (Wedontknowdis)
Also “ the inverter”. Is this something you installed? Your unit did not come with one.

No, I have an AC blu-ray, LG I bought from Wal-mart.
The TV will run on shore power (via converter) or when on battery power.
My misunderstanding must be that I have an inverter and can run the blu-ray player by tying into the TV power. I just wasn't thinking about needing an inverter. Thank you for catching this mistake.

Plug the inverter into the 12v cigarette lighter style outlet behind the TV. If needed you can add adapters that will allow use of two or more plugs.

Look on the right side of the TV to check if it has a dvd slot. Mine is a combo TV/disc player!
