There are two fuses inside most gas/electric (absorption) refrigerators. They are the "cartridge" style; that is, a glass tube with a filament down the center and metal caps on each end. One is for the controls and gas operation and the other is for electrical operation.
Make sure power is off, at circuit breaker, pedestal, or by unplugging. Take the white plastic cover on the outside off by turning the two fasteners 90° to the left and pulling the cover off. This will expose the circuit board. Take out the fuse and make sure the filament is complete. If not, get one at any auto parts store and replace the failed one.
If the microwave does not work when plugged into an extension cord that has power, it may have died. If you REALLY know what you are doing, you could take the covers off and look for an internal fuse. BE VERY CAREFUL. There are capacitors in a microwave oven that store a lethal charge for hours or days. If you know what you are doing, discharge those capacitors. Otherwise, get a service tech or a new microwave oven. I can't overemphasize the danger.
