Removing Bugs

A while ago somebody posted a hack for removing bugs from the front of our rigs using wet dryer sheets. I haven't tried it until today. I got back from a 2000 mile trip and the front of the motor home was covered with smashed bugs so I thought I'd give it a try. I was impressed it worked so well. My question is, why do wet dryer sheets work for removing bugs?

One thing about it. You sure smell nice when you're done no matter how hot it is outside.

I might be the source, although many folks know about it. I learned about it back in my motorcycle days. Worked great for the bugs on the fairing.

I just use Pledge. After they soak a bit the bugs wipe right off. I don't doubt dryer sheets work, but seems like more work

I use bug slide which just happens to be the same thing I use on the Harley.

Spray, let sit for a spell, and wipe them off. Works well for me.
