Replacing Hall sensors on a Shwintek slide motor

I figured I should document my attempt to salvage a slide motor I had to replace on my 2801QS in case it helps someone. It’s a a Lippert 236575 motor from a Shwintek slide. The motor itself works fine but the problem was it kept stalling after only a few inches of movement. Thanks to this great thread on slide motor replacement with the part numbers for the Hall sensors that Duck pointed me too I ordered some. They were $2 CDN a piece for me. These replacement Honeywell sensors are supposed to be a lot better quality.

The magnet that spins on the end of the motor pulls off easily and it’s position doesn’t matter, I couldn’t get under the board enough to unsolder the sensors so I removed the board by unsoldering the two motor tabs. The white plastic holders come off with the sensors and the new ones fit back in then the three pins are soldered to the board.

Lol, can’t test it without installing it I don’t think and that will have to wait for now. I have fixed up all the seals and don’t want to undue it, but I still have the two bedroom slides to service I might be able to test it there. [emoji12]
