Roller shade lost spring tension

We have a 2017 Forester with the black-out roller shades and discovered the rear window shade had unrolled completely and has no spring tension to enable it to roll back up. I'm wondering if there is a way to re-tension it or could it be that the spring mechanism is broken?
Has anyone else had this happen?
Thanks

Some of mine have done that before. Seemed like they were broken. I just gave them a QUICK little tug and they rolled back up. Don't know if we have the same ones

I tried that, and it didn't work....even tried to manually roll up the shade, but it just unrolls again all the way down. There seems to be knurled adjustment wheels on each end of the roller, but for the life of me, I can't seem to make them do anything. I see that the shades are "Slow-Rise", made by Irvine Door and Shade co, so I'll try to look up their website.

Might be broke. Just replaced one in our 2017 3011ds that did the same thing. Took Camping World a month and a half to get new one. Good luck

Thanks for the link. I found the problem..I took the roller apart according to the instructions and found that a piece of plastic that holds the end of the spring had broken. Why, I don't know as we've only raised and lowered the shade a few times since it was new. Anyway, I e-mailed Irvine Shade & Door and they got right back to me and said they will send me a new spring assembly at N/C.
Thanks to all for the help.

One of ours did the same. Could not be fixed. New one coming from forest river as still under warranty. 5 weeks still waiting. Through lazy days.

I haven't received it yet, but I contacted Irvine Shade & Door and they responded within a few hours and said they were sending a new spring assembly. If your dealer doesn't respond in a reasonable time frame, you might try that.
