Roller Shades unwound

I just took delivery of a 2016 Forester yesterday, we rolled down the shade over the sink, and when attempting to roll it back up it would not go, now it is completely unwound and I am at a loss for what to do.

Any help would be appreciated.

I had that happen once. I was able reach up turn it by slightly by hand in (In the same direction it turns when pulling the shade down.) The spring released and rolled up normally.

These don't work quite the way normal roll up shades do. Just give the shade a gentle tug down and let go. It will slowly feed itself up. It is slow moving by design, but especially when cold.

If it is truly unrolled I can't help as I haven't taken one off yet. On a "normal" type you would take it off at the top, roll it up manually, then re- attach and pull down to reset the spring.

This also happened to our shade over the table window just after getting our RV home. We called the dealer and they're sending out a replacement.

I decided to return the shade to the dealer and they are replacing it. Even they could not fix it.
