RV Airflow systems
Does anyone have info on RV Airflow inserts in the AC rooftop system? Does it really work as advertised? Is it really worth the money?
Thanks,
Papa Dee

RV Airflow systems
I have one and really think it helps. Price I think is steep for what it is.
He is my go to guy for any RV upgrade or review. When something comes up I ask myself “What would Chad do?”.

I made my own using 1/2" styrofoam insulation and silver duct tape. I feel that they help quite a bit.

I was going to make my own but my AC's had the shallow plenum so I decided to buy them.

I would go DIY with the boards and tape... it's just who I am
Wouldn't pay someone to re-shingle my house roof either!
A lot of people have been buying this product for a while
It appears to work and people obviously want something they can simply pop into place.

Thanks for all replies.... I decided on the DIY route. Presently, I am in the process of designing & building the parts.... if the weather holds, I may complete it tomorrow. Will update on completion.

Thanks for all the positive vibes....
I just finished the AC project. I decided to DIY. The cost of the prefab RV Airflow Systems insert would have been $170+ tax. The total cost of my DIY system was less than $20 for parts and my time. Youtube was a great help. In the end, I think my results was very satisfactory. I cannot test it right now because the temperature is 26°F outside and 42°F inside the RV. This Artic Blast is hitting all of us.

It will probably be fine. Putting a partition across the opening isn't an exotic thing to do.

Also fabricated my own. A little awkward doing some of the cut-and-fit, but with patience and high-temp, foil lined tape, managed the installation.
Noticeable noise reduction in the living area, plus feel like there is improved flow, a result of eliminating the vortex-producing dead spaces with streamlined flow pattern.
There was some "odor" from either the foam or the tape for the first few times used, but that went away eventually.
Good luck!
