Safety reminder when winterizing

This is a good time of the year to think about the wear and tear your chrome wheel covers have had driving down these fine roads we have! I'm not sure how they are mounted on the Chevy chassis but on the Fords they are held on by one nut. 2 years ago we lost one at 70mph and it was 2 inches from going through a young girls windshield which most certainly would have been a horrible outcome!

At the least check them to make sure they are tight! In my opinion you should remove the nut and reinstall with Loc-tite on the threads.

I always check mine before I store it for the winter so I don't forget to do it in the spring.
