Sage, don't be surprised if that mount is priced sky high. They made the same mount for my Winegard Carryout. But it was something like $220 for the ladder mount. It looked exactly like your photo.

BTW, you got the same SAT dish that I got. It works great.

Hi if you want the VIP-211K you will have to go to ebay. The VIP-211K went out of production about 1-2 years ago.

Sat and cable connections

Sage, have you made a final decision on which unit you will be getting ? Curious to see what you will get and how well you like it. I will probably purchase some type of sat system myself this spring.

Ben, I am going to purchase the Winegard Pathway X1 on Sunday from CW using the 10% off coupon. I like the portability and the different mounts available, i.e. window, ladder and tripod, plus an option to later use a roof mount. The ability to store the dish under the dinette instead of the rear cargo compartment where the slightly larger King Tailgater would be to be stored sold me on it.
I'm going to use my old 400 watt inverter for now along with the Dish ViP211z receiver from the house.

Winegard Pathway window mount

In reading the manual for the window mount, I see that it also comes with 2 mounting brackets that can be secured to the MH. Perhaps, I can fabricate a ladder adapter for the bracket. Then I can secure the entire thing to the ladder with a locked cable/alarm.

Went to CW today to buy the Pathway X1, but they sold the last BLACK one yesterday. I had them order one and got the 10% discounted price and free shipping to the store. Should arrive Wednesday or Friday of this week.
Going online to Staples and ordering the window mount for $80.

Sat for outdoor TV??

The outdoor TV is currently working fine for OTA programs and DVD movies thru the outdoor radio/cd/dvd player. It appears that a separate ViP211z receiver is needed to watch satellite TV on the outdoor TV. Has anyone routed a long HDMI cable from their receiver by the living-room TV to the outdoor TV for satellite programing? I have access to the back of the outdoor TV via under the sofa and can probably route it up to the receiver.

There are a couple of options for you. You could get an HDMI splitter and hard wire it as you suggested. Or you can get a wireless HDMI adapter to send HDMI to it wirelessly.

That's supposed to work really well. But I haven't tried it. The wireless method would probably work with the bedroom TV for sure.

Kind of pricey - but cool.

Hey Creativepart, I tried the rerouting Sgtlm17 posted on the other topic. It really works and so simple.

Testing new Winegard Pathway X1 today

Tried using your diagram Creativepart for the wall connections. Not working using outdoor hookup and jumper to receiver. But it is working fine going directly from Sat to receiver. Tried different jumpers and still not working. Says switch problem encountered. Will try again in an hour with different jumper.

The DW is very happy with the sound now coming thru the overhead speakers instead of the tinny sounding TV speakers and the great picture. Us silly seniors didn't realize we had the TV set on 480 instead of 1080. Huge difference in quality after adjusting.
Now to solve the MH wiring from outdoor connection to receiver.

X1 manual says that the coax from the dish to the receiver must be direct not thru a switch. Will try agin with other jumpers and maybe the plate was installed upside down???

Pathway X1 only works with direct connection

I used a good jumper from all of the wall plate connections to receiver. None worked, only directly from satellite.

The sound bar arrived and installed...Best $49 I ever spent.

Also was able to determine the on-off switch for charging station is bad, will fix and can then power sound bar from the charging station.

For those using the dash radio for surround, even if I wanted to do so, ignition must be on for it to work. 'nuff said.

Really, my radio works without the ignition on. There is a green light always lit and draining the engine battery.

We have a Rockwood 2604WS and I was wondering if anyone has ever connected the DVD player to front Bedroom TV. I was also hoping to connect Dish box to front TV. My plan is to use a couple of HDMI splitters and long cables. I was wondering if anyone had tried this or has a better Idea. On a separate note does anyone know if you can mount a Dish box on its side.
