Satellite Systems

Winegard did confirm that the satellite signal does not play well with their electronics (even with power off). This is what they said today...

"a simple solution for the customer that wants to connect a satellite to the park cable, would be to disconnect the park cable from the back side of the antenna power supply (booster), connect that cable to the satellite receiver. Then run another cable from the receiver to the same spot on the power supply. They will then have to turn the power supply off to let the satellite signal go through."

Thanks bclemens for this clarification. I had inquired about this in the forester section. Sounds pretty much like what I had mentioned over there in regards to bypassing the booster on sat signal in. Wish in the future they would be wired with a separate satellite in jack since sat TV in Motorhomes has become the norm.

At least in Heaven, RVs will be perfect, and I won't have to keep fixing them.
