Scan Gauge

So I installed a Scan Gauge II and it’s a love hate relationship. I appreciate the data especially the transmission temperature. I have a 2011 E450 chassis and thanks to the SCII am terrified at my transmission temperatures. Typically the temps run between 185-195 while cruising on a flat highway. But just as soon as I start climbing a hill the temps start soaring above 200 and I have seen as high as 230 but only for a very short time. I run exclusively in tow/haul mode and also have a Jeep TJ as a toad. It weighs maybe 4K soaking wet. Everything is stock with no additional trans cooler installed. I have just over 40k miles and have serviced the transmission twice but never have smelled burnt fluid.
So what temperatures are you all seeing in your rigs? Does your temp rise quickly when climbing a hill? I’m not out there trying to win any races. I take hills slow and steady and typically cruise the highway at 60 MPH. Thanks.

Is anyone willing to share their Scan Gauge experience with transmission fluid temperature? Thanks!

I don't have your set up, but 230 is pretty common for me when pulling 7% grades.
