Screen door Handle - How did we live without this

I know others have posted about this recently - but I just added this screen door handle yesterday. Man, I don't know how we lived without this previously.

This is the best $15 mod I've made. I bought it at Camping World here in Tucson where we're spending most all of January. It was a 15 min install too. Highly recommended.

We love ours also. Next to vent covers these are a must have. It is so nice when it is windy outside now I have something to hold on to when leaving our trailer and makes it so easy to grab the door to close it. We have two travel trailers, at first we only put it on one. During our first trip out with that trailer, I ordered another one for our other trailer before we got home. Happy Camping!!!!!!

This was my first mod. Since, closing the door is now simple and going up the steps into the rig is no-longer a balance test of my weight on the flexing steps, I am soo happy.

DW finally thought I spent money correctly. I know I did.

I have a Sunseeker 2500 TS and found the screen door/regular door combination so difficult when opening from the inside that I removed the screen door and replaced it with a magnetic screen. I bought it in Home Depot but they do not seem to list it any more.

http://www.amazon.com/Life-Fit-Magne...ic+screen+door

The above link takes you an Amazon.com listing for a magnetic screen that is the same size as the one I bought at Home Depot.

Along with all the other pluses it makes a great location to hang a dish towel to dry out overnight...

We put our first door handle in at the same place where you put yours - a little high up. But then we bought another one for the little grandkid and put it a little lower down. Now we have two, one high, one low. DH and I use both of them, first one low - then as we step up the stairs, we use the high one. We have recommended this to all our RV friends. They have all bought them, yes, they are the best!

Have them on both doors of my TT for about a year. Love them! And... Kids don't pull on the clear sliding cover now. 👍🏻

I have not tried one of these handles on a door so maybe I'm missing something. It seems to me you would break the screen door latch if you pulled very hard on the handle. The screen door latches are very easy to break.

Screen door handle

Put three of these on our screen door. One on top and two at the bottom to keep two large dogs honest. They also seem to add some needed stiffness to the door. Replaced the standard plastic latch with a metal one (got tired of replacing the broken plastic ones).
