Service Air Bags, No start (2015 Chevy Chassis)
Odd little error... my granddaughter and I pulled the Sunseeker out of storage in preparation of de-winterizing it. After parking it on the lawn and washing the exterior, I attempted to start it to move it by the patio for interior cleaning and de-winterizing the water lines.
No start. DIC: Service Air Bags ... Ok...
After some research, I found some posts here and other places about a run/start relay. Hmm. Swapping like relays didn't help.
I had disconnected the negative battery cable in hopes of resetting the computer, but that provided no help either.
On a whim, I started to pull the nut on the positive post to remove the house charge line, and noticed the cable was slightly loose. I removed and checked it, no corrosion. After reconnecting positive, then negative, I tried again. It started right up, no error.
The factory GM battery was 8 years old anyway and had always been a bit of a weeper. I had to clean corrosion off the bolts mounting the tray to the bracket every year. Thus, it was time to replace it. Our local department store had batteries on sale, Score!
A new battery and freshened & properly tightened connections, all is well. That's a pretty serious error for something as simple as a slightly loose battery connection.
This may help someone in the future, tuck it in your back pocket!
