Shocks

I know this should have been beat to death but I am still new to this site. What are the best shocks for 3010DS, Koni or bilstens.?

I have Bilsteins in the front with their steering damper and Gas Adjust Konis in the rear with air bags. Good handling and not a bad ride. But that's to my taste.

personal choice I went with Koni fsd

They are an improvement over the Ford supplied shocks. Somewhat softer entering a turn. I noticed kind of like a delayed reaction initially. I like them but not enough driving time to give a definite answer yet. I installed Helwig sway bars front and rear shortly after the shocks. Trip to Maine in a few weeks will give me my answer.

Bilstein HD front and rear on our 3010. Major difference especially entering and exiting bridges. I also did the Helwig sway bars, safe t plus steering stabilizer and Henderson rear trac bar. I think I’m done with driving improvements!

Shocks

Most shock threads mention the Bilstein or Konis. Per thread mentioned above I went with the Koni and am really happy. I have a smaller, 27 ft Forester, and it handles pretty well. Biggest improvement was the ride and sway. With 3000+ miles now, the Koni’s eliminated the harshness. Still feel the bumps and countless potholes, but it doesn’t rattle the camper as much. I wish I had upgraded sooner. DW is happy too, so happy camper!
