So you are confirming that the class C units have the converter wired to the battery independent of the disconnect switch position? If so, is that true for other FR models?

Got it thanks everyone, I really appreciate everyone's input. Switch in the on position at all times unless in storage.

When we turn our switch off (storage mode) we still have a slight drain on our batteries. You may have seen this in some of my previous post. After a week in storage mode our batteries are dead. Anyone else having this problem ? We either have to leave it plugged in or disconnect all the negative cables.

We have a 2015 Forester 2501. After trying to figure things out on my own I finally read the Forester owners manual. In the manual it says you must have the battery cutoff switch in the on position in order to charge the RV batteries. Once they are fully charged the system will revert to a trickle charge just to keep the batteries at full capacity.
My RV is stored at my home and I just keep it plugged in all the time. I have read here on the forum that others do the same thing and have never experienced any problems with their coach batteries.
The RV will automatically run off shore power when plugged in, but you must have the battery cutoff switch in the on position.

Small problem about leaving ours plugged in all the time is that the power cord this time of year would get buried under snow ranging from a couple of inches or more. Sometimes we run the snow blower down the side of the MH where the power cord runs into the garage. I'm not the only one who runs the and wouldn't want some one to run over it. Summer time NP leaving it plugged in.
