Shore Power + Furnace = AC Fan
Forum Members,
Two nights ago I was plugged into shore power. I turned the furnace on and the AC fan kicked on blowing cold air out of the roof vents. I did hear the furnace fire up as well. The fan is loud abd I worried about 1) waking the kids and 2) the 15 amp service I was connected to with my 15 amp to 30 amp dog bone. I turned the furnace off and unplugged the shore power and the quiet gas furnace kept us warm. The furnace has the following settings a) fan b) cool c) furnace d) heat pump e) off. The model is a 2014 Sunseeker 3050s.
Questions:
1) Does the fan always come on when connected to shore power and if so does it eventually get warm.
2) what is the current draw and should I be worried on a 15 amp service?
3) what is the heat pump?
Thanks all, I'm a newbie.
