You will get several answers here. i just changed the oil in my RV and used full synthetic from Costco.
Look up Project Farm, he does tests on almost anything and he did this one and walmarts brand.
bottom line it's your choice.

In the attached report, I changed to a different brand of oil and full synthetic when my aluminum counts were outside of universal averages. It's improving, fortunately, and I'm looking forward to an even better report at my next change. On my prior F350 (a 6.0 powerstroke) the Blackstone analysis caught an issue early on with injectors due to the fuel dilution being high.

Bottom line, with data you can make educated changes and proactive to prevent a failure. Blackstone provides me exactly what I need.

What oil were you using prior to switching to the Rotella T6 ?

Motorcraft 15-40 which is a conventional oil. I expected higher values on the first oil change due to break-in but after the second one with high aluminum values, I switched to T6. Numbers are improving and keeping my fingers crossed that come my next change, it'll be closer to universal averages.

I've always used Rotella T6 in my Cummins it's 2015 with 35K miles on it. I'm going to do the oil analysis on my next oil change I'm interested to see what the numbers look like.

No Spark

C-N-Azow the only diesels in this section are the MB 3.0’s
and maybe a 3.2 or 2.0 in the Transit Series, I’m wondering what those boyz
are using for oil?

Blackstone charges $30 for the standard analysis and I add on the TBN test for an additional $10. Perhaps it sounds steep to some but to me it's peace of mind and can be helpful in knowing of an impending issue before it becomes a big headache and/or repair bill. Not to mention, Blackstone has some fantastic people working there!

Change when and use what the manufacturer says and you’ll be fine anything beyond that is $ not well spent. JMOFMEFLADF43s.
