Side view mirrors on 2401MBS

I have a 2016 Forester model 2401MBS. Are the sideview mirrors supposed to tuck into the body? I've pushed on them as hard as I dare with no luck.

We have a Sunseeker 2400R 2106 which is the same vehicle. Mine were hard to push in so I sprayed a little graphite lube on them and gave a good hard push. Bingo. They go in and now that they have been lubed go in much easier. Helps with street parking. Good luck!

Yes they do. But the OP’s are on a Sprinter which are different.
