Slide issue

We have a 2022 3011DS. Getting ready for our maiden voyage tomorrow but our drivers side slide seems to be catching at the top right and going out extremely hard.

It will go out and pops a bit coming in. Does anyone have any thoughts? Will call the dealership on Monday.

Catch with Pop

Popping sounds on the last bit of travel of extension is fairly normal. It is caused by the plywood and facia trim which make up the flange for the inner seal flexing under the pressure from the motors before the hall effect shuts them down. That pressure can be adjusted however I would not recommend that. The popping sound does not occur when the slide is retracted because the outer seal flange is metal.

Popping or binding any other time during extension or retraction is problematic. The most likely causes for that type of malfunction are; Debris under the slide. Sticking exterior seals/sweeps. Slide motors out of synchronization.

Back in Feb someone mentioned syncing in your Schwintek thread. If you did not follow the proper procedure then it is likely that if out of sync motors are the causal factor in your current issue then it is self inflicted. The good news is that unless you have an internal mechanical issue, the solution will not require thrashing with the dealer.

So, are your motors in sync?

Looking at pictures of the 3011DS, it does not look like a "Schwintek" slide, which is actually now Lippert In-Wall system.

Might not be an in-wall. I was going from the post the OP made back in Feb.. If it is not an in-wall (Schwintek as the OP called it) then he can use your advice.

Since your unit is new, I think I would consult with the dealer. Try to be there when the tech looks at it. Ask questions.

Those of us with older RVs can do self-maintenace. You have a warranty.

Once the slide motors are synced, they should stay that way. Lubrication and cleaning will ensure that your slides keep working as expected.

Slide Issues

You have a slide mech that sits on the floor and is bolted to the Mech.
What could have happened is the adjustment came out in transit to dealership
the popping noise is normal. the Dealership should be able to get it back into adjustment. You will be fine if you would like there are 2 big bolts that adjust it under the slide in the trunk box there is a lock nut that probably didn't get set or came loose in transit as long as you can get the slide in and out (with a pop here and there) you will be fine until the dealership readjusts it.
