One side on the awning on our slide out, the end cap was moved out of place when it was hit by a tree branch. It is still working but every time we put the slide out back to in position my husband have to push that side of the slide if not there will be about 3 inches out of slide out. Do we need to change the whole awning or just the awning cap?

I think I'd definitely have it looked at by a professional technician. I suspect that there is a danger of wind getting underneath it while you're headed down the road and if that happens it could start billowing and rip it off completely.

Cover should Not have bearing on alignment, slide topper has "Side to Side Adjustment! Maybe your Slide is in need of Side adjustment also, after the "Tree Strike"? Youroo!!
