Slide Out on 2016 MBS 2300W

15 months new off the lot...we are 2000 miles from home and have serious slide problems. The rearmost slide and its bracket have disappeared...vanished. All that remains is the two screw holes where two quite small self tapping screws fastened them. The forward roller and bracket have tipped over and the bracket is scouring the bottom of the slide unit. We are 5 hours from Elkhart...headed there on Monday. Under warranty, which expired in August, we have replaced both waste valves, the automatic step motor, the in-dash Jensen GPS/stereo, water pump, LPG level sensor and had the fresh water tank framing reinforced. The 3-burner cook top burners came apart but I fixed them myself. Frustrated...

Slide Out on 2016 MBS 2300W

Slide issues are the very reason we got a MH with no slides this time. Every camper I have purchased since the late 90ís has had slide issues whether they are minor or major. Most of them major with repair costs to match, to say nothing of the inconvenience and frustration level. Iíve made more than one trip to a factory for repairs which isnít awful as long as there is a warranty. After that runs out it can get quite expensive to repair or you need to become very handy. No more slides for me. I could go on about ruined sub-flooring, damaged floor covering, leaking slides, multiple gear motor replacements, excuses from dealers as to why it is my fault.

I don't know if your MBS is a lemon? Have you kept your slide regularly lubricated with silicone spray? My 2014 Solera with over 28,000 miles has been used approximately 60 nights per year in all weather conditions. I have never had a slide issue with mine. I do make sure that it is regularly lubricated.

Have you found out what the problem is? Have anything to do with the gear assembly being loose?
