My 2017 forester has a long slide on the driver side and the rubber seal on the side at the top has ripped and needs replaced. Where can I get this seal? I can handle the replacement just need the part

Once you get the sweeps replaced you might consider addressing the causal factor. Looks like they stuck to the slide wall. I have been to Vail many times. Friends on Blue Mesa Place. Its hot and dry. Both enemies of rubber.

That kind of looks like the same style I had to replace. If it is it is one piece that has the inner and outer wiper seal and is attached to the inside wall with fasteners and to the outer wall with an adhesive strip and the inner and outer bulb seals slip into channels. If its the same as mine the hard part was getting the fasteners out of the wall on the inside, they used screw nails, and removing the old adhesive from the outer wall. It's some really good stuff. You only get one chance when you put the new one on.

Rubber Slide Seal

I just bought the same slide seal but for my FR Sunseeker. I used camperID.com. Had to buy a 14 ft seal so I’ll have enough to replace the rear seal if and when it’s needed.

Yep I had to buy a 14 foot piece too. It's a bit pricey.

We have a 2019 FR and have the same slide seal problems. Makes you wonder.

Sunseeker 3010DS street side slide room wiper seal damaged

2017 3010DS with the same problem. I trimmed it to stop it from continuing to tear until I could replace it and correct the cause. I cleaned a lot of sealant from the slide wall and both inside and outside wiper seals, which was causing it to drag. Upon closer inspection the corner of the slide is chewing up both wipers. The front of the slide room needs to be raised slightly to provide clearance at the forward edge of this corner. The space above at the fwd and behind at the aft corner of the slide room would close proportionately, but there is plenty of room there. I just have to watch the wall paneling behind the dinette aft seat so it doesn't rub.
Then, replace the seal. Oh, no leaks yet, thanks to the "D" seal, but definitely needs repaired soon.

Gary yours looks like mine on my 2016 3010 DS that I had to replace. The issue with mine is the slide is too far forward and the seals get wadded up when I open and close it. Tried to get suggestions from FR on how to fix it but all I got was to take it to a service center. I'm pretty handy so I guess I'll just see what I can do in the spring.

I second www.steelerubber.com. Their prices are good and they stand behind everything they sell.

Had the same problem with mine. Have to go to a dealer and have them order replacement seals for you.

Steelerubber.com

I will do a third vote for steelerubber.com. They had what I needed for several seal applications on the motorhome. And they will custom make a seal if they don’t have what you need (not sure what that might cost).

Finally got around to installing a 3/8 plywood shim under the front mount pad which opened up a gap at the forward upper corner, to prevent the seal from tearing up again. Then replaced the ~7 foot seal. Also readjusted the tilt on the front and rear slide mount pads per the OEM. Better late than never?
