The CRC power lube is what's recompense that's what I use don't use anything that attracts dirt& dust and as I said before don't worry about rust it's aluminum

There's two rollers under the slide as well - perhaps they are the source of the noise.

The directions also have you lube the gib blocks and shafts in where the gears mate with the gear rack. An innernet search will help with all the lube points on the Schwintek slides.
