Have a 2015 FR 3051s Forester. Brought it in for 22 point inspection an it appears the slide rollers are eating into the bottom of the slide. There is fix available but its 1500.00 and our good sam warranty wont cover it. For a major repair to be needed at 4 yrs out and not covered seems ridiculous to me. Any ideas?
Agree with retireearly concerning metal plates. If the rollers are damaging the slide are they even rolling with slide movement?
Rollers may need to be lubricated.
If you install plates, spray the plates with silicone.
The rollers may seem impossible to adjust as they are screwed down, but I found a small ratcheting 90 degree screwdriver that did the trick. You can also jack up the slide some (I use blocking and bottle jacks) to take the weight off the rollers. I had to shim under my rollers to get them carrying equal weight.

Thanks to those that have replied to my original. I have had metal plates (stainless steel) installed. The work was done by Camping World, It was spendy at 1500.00 but the slide appears to be more stable than in the past. I feel Good Sam extended warranty should have covered this, but the slide did not fall out so they didn’t feel it was a problem. Again thanks for the replies. Forest River should address this problem in their design. Our slide is the entire length of the coach. Very heavy.
