Slide Topper Rain Issue

I have a 3170DS, we have noticed that the slide topper over the bunk/wardrobe slide only comes to the edge of the slide unlike the kitchen slide topper which extends beyond by a number of inches.

With very heavy driving rains the bunk-wardrobe slide roof get flooded with water and has on ocassion leaked in a bit.

I have fashioned a piece of old shower curtin to act as a cover at the edges of the slide from the topper down, seems to work in keeping most of the water out.

Anyone have any other ideas or if you have experienced this issue? BTW the kitchen slide with its extension toppers has never been a problem. Thanks.

I don't have pics of mine but the topper extends 2 inches on either side. The instructions say a minimum of 2 inches longer than your slideout. My brackets extend past the flanges of the slideout. It sounds that they did not put the right one on your rig.

Really looking at the positioning of the topper, they don't have it centered, hangs off rear too much. Need to adjust, just another lazy installation.
