Soon to be Forester owner

Today we put a deposit in a new 3171ds. Excited to say the least. It's going to be a big change from a huge 5er and truck. Plan on selling the truck for a Jeep Wrangler toad. We've been looking at motorhomes for a while now and hopefully this will be good. Really like the floor plan and autolevel. Took it for a drive and seems pretty smooth.

Congrats on your purchase. We bought our first Motorhome, a 2005 Forester 2 months ago and have learned so much from the great people in our Forum.

Thanks everyone, there will be some adjustment from the trailering world. Got a question... I have a 5 year old whose small and still is on a car seat, how does that work in the coach? My daughter is big enough she no longer will need a booster so that's not an issue. Thanks

I'd call your local PD - pretty sure it's the same as car/truck..I think our Buckeye State considers MH a motor vehicle while on the road, so the same rules most likely apply...call to make sure...I do know that if you get a ticket for a kid without proper restraint under the age of 18, there is an automatic "child endangering" charge tagged on...just saw it happen and verified with an OSP Trooper yesterday...
