Outlaw 7 Is that your cabover bunk ladder under your sofa? As for the sofa mod did they just put a wood strip down on floor and then piano hinge to sofa face piece?

I don't have a cab over bunk, it's a entertainment center up there. The pic I posted was of 2015 unit, so yes, they are stowing the ladder under the sofa.
And yes, the mod was simple. A wood strip and piano hinge, and then we installed some simple push latches to keep things up and in place

Sorry, reread your post where you stated you had entertainment center not bunk, but I still like the idea of ladder under sofa also good looking pup you have!

Thanks, Outlaw7, for your explanations and thoughts! The detailed information gives a lot to consider. Looks like we will be picking up our 3050 sometime between the end of the month and mid-March. We are excited about that!

OMG the DW and I just went through a 3050S at a local dealer and my DW fell in love with the floor plan, not too bad!! I always thought it was to big for just myself, my wife and our boxer but my goodness it felt perfect!! We are going back tomorrow morning and test drive it to see if I can handle the length of that monster!! Please anybody respond to your likes and dislikes!! What should we be really looking at of this unit??

3050

I don't think you will have any problem driveing get all the options you can you will have a 18' patio with plenty of lighting heatpump and leveling jacks were a must with me if you didn't get a brochure go on line pick the options or make a offer if you like the one you saw I also would suggest leather if you have animals nice coach wish you the best at whatever you decide outside entertainment is also nice!

I know the feeling of being excited about the 3050s, we were the same way. Bought it and love it. As far as driving it , doesn't seem too much different than our 28 ft. we had and we also pull a toad. It is not too big for us three, husband, wife and our dog, Queen of the rv . We love the floorplan and everything about it. Good luck on your decision.

Keyless entry for 3050S?

Planning a purchase of 3050S in the future. Question about keyless entry for the driver and passenger doors. Does this feature come standard on the 3050S or does it have to be ordered as an option. I would think that the Ford E450 chassis would have to come from Ford that way. Can anyone tell me?

Ours is on order. First camper and couldn't be more excited. We got most of the options, including auto levelers, outside TV and swivel seats. And we went with the full body paint after reading various comments. Hope that decision works out because it looks great. Any first time tips on the 3050s? What should we look for at pick up? What are some mods we should make? We bought from rv direct so need to get registered and the like before pick up.

Congratulations!! I am sure you are excited!! We are still on the fence of various models. We were going to drive the 3050 at local dealer but I did not feel that great to do the test drive. Did you have the chance to drive that model before you bought? Why did you decide to purchase from RV Direct?

trnarg Other than going over everything when you pick it up, the only thing I can recommend doing is watch the couple of videos posted here on the form on the correct way to open and close the slide to keep the motors in sync. You are going to love the unit, my family does!!! I have said it before, wait until you open the full wall slide and see how many people want to look inside. Have fun

Boso, what made you purchase the 3050? We really like the floor plan but afraid of the size! We want to travel the USA and also do some camping here in the Ozarks. We are stuck on the 2500TS and the 3050S!! Broad spectrum huh?

Congratulations, on your new purchase. We will have our 3050s 2014 for two years in Aug. We are still excited about it and so glad we bought this floorplan , we love the way they designed it with plenty of storage and walking space. You will love the room. Just remember when you pick it up and do the walk thru, you will not remember everything they tell you, ask plenty of questions. Also remember, they don't know it all and some things they say aren't always the way it is. It would be nice if you could take a video on tablet or phone while having the walk thru, but, not sure if allowed. Hope you love this motorhome as much as we do ours and have a great ride in life with it !

I drove the 3050s at a local dealership. Loved the floor plan. Once we got to numbers, the dealer was probably 10-15K over what rv direct was offering. So I decided to trip the rig out with all the options I wanted and it still came in 7k less than the dealers best price. So in my view, that was an easy decision. Plus I can pick up it up with a 2 hours drive - not bad. I did get the heat pump too.
