Sunseeker interior lights too glaring
I know in the past folks have added dimmer switches etc but my wife’s sensitive eyes just want overall quieter ceiling lights. We’ve tried the light filter inserts - not good. I recently tried four coats of spray paint frosted glass paint that didn’t make one bit of difference. I’d like to explore other paint options but would like a couple of spare lenses to have to play with. Can’t find the 4.5” diameter round lenses any place. Any ideas out there?

What model year is your Sunseeker?
Do the light fixtures themselves have a manufacturer’s label with a part number?
Have you tried sourcing the lenses from a Forest River dealer?

You may be attacking this problem from the wrong direction. I do't believe that lens change is the way to go. Look for light replacement either entire light fixture or LED bulb that have a warmer/ yellower light.

Sunseeker interior lights too glaring
Our Sunseeker is a 2020 2440DS
Haven't found a model #
Our dealer is a little tough to get ahold of now
There are 11 of these ceiling lights in the main compartment + more in bathroom
They are not led bulbs you change out, they are led light boards. Purchasing full replacement lights would be just a tad bit pricy

Depending on your year of RV, mine is a 2016, the lights might have been provided by Command Electronics
I have several lights that are no longer working and have been in contact with them about replacements. Unfortunately there are currently closed due to Covid-19 but the voice message says they will be opening on 5/4.
If yours are from the same place, you can ask them about replacement lenses and also about options to replace ceiling lights. They may have lights with lower lumen's that you could use as opposed to adding a dimmer switch.

You apparently have nearly the same Sunseeker model as I do. We don’t have the cab-over bunk, but we still have 12 ceiling lights total, not counting the under cabinet lights. I have installed dimmers in the bathroom, bed area, and living/kitchen area (and also the awning LED strip light, which was way too bright). I like the ability to go full bright lights when I’m working on the camper, but the lights are generally dimmed all other times.
On later builds of the 2020 2440DS, I noticed that Forest River has reduced the number of ceiling lights to almost half. I figured it was for cost savings.
I agree with the post above that warmer light color would probably help your situation, but that would involve replacing all the fixtures.
In painting the lenses, you may be able to filter out unwanted colors, but you can’t add light color that is not already emitted by the LED. If you wanted a warmer color, it may not be possible to obtain it from a bluish LED if the warmer part of the spectrum is not already present.

Try putting a simple paper disk cut round to fit inside the lens. We did that in the bathroom and it really helped. Vary the diameter to give you the result you desire.

I had the same problem at night, to bright. I installed strip lighting under the counter lip, I’ll take pictures tonight and post them, you will see the big difference very cheap and easy to do, I have along counter so it gives a lot of indirect lighting off,

I am following this to see where it goes.
We have a 2019 Coachman Freedom Express 248 RLS. When you turn on the lights in the unit all 6 ceiling lights come on. Its all or nothing. I have been looking for 4.5 puck lights with a push button and a clip. I can find 4.5 puck lights with a push button but they have to be screwed into the ceiling. It is tight with the diameter of the hold that was cut.
Good luck in your endeavors.

Behind The Bars - can you add pics and schematics of summers you put in. You may have me convinced. I did remove a ceiling light today and found that they are Dream Lighting so I’ll see if I can find a contact

Amazon has a lot of 12 volt lighting just to get an idea what's out there.

Attached is a photo of the dimmer I installed in the bathroom. The vent fan was moved to a separate switch, while the dimmer takes the space of the two original switches. The brand is American Technology Components. You can get them as a double wide like I showed, or one that takes up the space of a single switch. The dimmers match the style of the switches in the Sunseeker. There are 3 wires on the dimmer, a +12 volt, ground, and the output to the light. Note you must be able to find a white ground wire in the wall where you want to mount the dimmer.
If you’d like a different model 12 volt dimmer, there are many threads on that subject on the forum.
I also posted a picture of the ceiling lights in our unit. I assume they are like yours.

We took the covers off and sprayed them with window tint in bronze, looks great on the wood. I only let him do 2 on the ceiling, doesn't look as good on the white but works very well.

Thanks - I tried a couple different spray paints on some spare lens covers but with lights turned on they just didn’t look right so stripped paint off to try setting up dimmers

With regard to the dimmers, where did you find them and can you share a part number? Thanks
