Supply line outside shower fail

Luckily I think we caught this leak fairly quick cause there just wasn't that big of a mess
Came in from the evening camp fire and siting in the living area I noticed what I thought was the hot water heater cooking for a longer than normal but I was actually "aware"of sound that's not normal.Wife thought the same thing like it didn't want to shut off so I decided to put the electric heater on (which should have already been on)
Anyway I go out to the panel and water is seeping out of the wheel well (puddle not to big yet)
Sounded like running water from Out side shower.Shut off water supply to unit (noise, leak stopped) and opened the shower door, nothing
Took kitchen drawers out and saw water but no obvious leak
Brilliant Wife went to Bathroom and suggested the drawer in there.I got a better view and had her switch on the pump and voila, split in hot supply line
These are cheap plastic lines and I obviously want to change both with something better (braided?)
Any experiences or suggestions are appreciated
Damn,We were on a hot streak 3 trips in a row with no break downs and the final trip of the year foiled it
Thank goodness we are leaving today,I'm not in a position to fix it here at the beach and would have had to get a mobile guy $$$

This is what I used when I replumbed my bathroom sink. Sharkbites makes a shutoff valve that inserts into the pex line. I used a stainless worm gear clamp to attach it. The other end is threaded and I used standard flexible water lines to attach to this end and the faucet assembly. The flexible water lines come in various lengths to meet your needs. I got the Sharkbites and water lines at my local Home Depot. I would post pics but my unit is winterized and in storage. Hope this helps.

Supply line outside shower fail

Thanks Bob,I'll look into those
I got home and removed
The two lines (unit is empty of water)
I may have neglected to confirm it was the OUTSIDE SHOWER hot supply line that taps into a hot pex line
Easy access by taking out the vanity drawer
I'm going to see what I can find that's better quality
It failed at the weak part of the curve

Had the exact same problem on the last trip this past fall. Almost ruined a 2 week stint when I turned on the water. Used some of that black self adhesive tape which actually saved the trip. When I got home, went to a mobile home parts supplier, he custom made 2 new assemblies for me.

I ended up getting 2 braided supply lines at Lowe's and replaced the junk stock ones
