Thermostat

I have the forester 3011
The thermostat is in the rear bedroom has anyone ever reloctated it to a more central area. We use the rv in the fall in Alberta and find if we close the bedroom door the the people sleeping out front are cold.

I have not but its just low voltage wires, if you can find a route from new to old location, or from furnace to new location it shouldn't be too hard. Or leave the bedroom door open so air circulates better. Another option is to undercut the bedroom door so there's at least 1" clearance to the carpet for air flow.

On a previous TT I moved the thermo since they put it behind a slide and in a corner so it did an even worse job managing the temp. Once moved it worked better. Used thermostat wire from from home depot, the 2 wire type.

Our new 5er, the thermo is apparently a ethernet type data cable so I do not know if it could be moved a easily.

If you need to move it a RJ-45 coupler is easier than slicing wires. Use a coupler and a straight thru RJ-45 pre-made cable to extend it where you want it.

That's a quick fix that saves buying a RJ-45 crimp tool for one project...
