Tire air pressure

We have problems getting to the stems, on the tires, to put air in our MBS Sunseeker. Looking for suggestions, and what air compressor you suggest to carry with you. Thanks in advance!

Unless the compressor cannot produce enough pressure to fill your tires, it is unlikely that is your issue. Instead, look at truck air chucks for a solution. Also consider using alligator caps which have double seals and do not need to be removed to air up your tires.

I have a Ford E450 Sunseeker and I got a dually air chuck like Duckogram posted a picture of. Very straight long stem for the back rim and an angled port for the front rim.

I got a Viair 400P-RV for my portable compressor. It runs off of 12 V so I just connect it to my house battery,

I am checking Amazon for the Viair 400P-RV. Never heard of chuck like Duckograms either. I could see picture if you posted but will try to find online. Thanks for the help!

Do you take off the short valve extenders installed from the factory when using a chick like the one above?

If you are asking me, I do not have any valve extenders however I have a TireMinder Smart TPMS so my valves have transmitters on them. To check pressure, I look at my phone. Adding air requires transmitter removal which requires wheel cover removal to reach the inners. Then I use the straight 7” air chuck pictured above. You do not need to remove valve extenders to use the air chuck.

The extenders that come from Forest River are nearly useless as they aren't long enough to clear the hub caps. If I have a suitable air chuck maybe I could take off those extenders and would be easier to air up the tires??

Can’t argue that. The inner extension were plastic and would not support my TM transmitters. The outers had metal 135* that did not leave enough room for the transmitters. If you are going to use the long air chuck, you do not need extenders however I do suggest that you use alligator caps rather than nothing.

Edit: Just noticed that you have a Chevy. Everything I mentioned may not apply.

Yeah I think both the inner and outer extenders are metal on mine. Do the alligator caps work with screw on tpms?

Solid core valve extensions are what solves the problem . We've got them and no air valve leaks and ease of airing up or down !

No they do not if you are talking about screwing the TPMS on the alligator caps.
If you are talking about flow thru tpms transmitters/sensors, then yes, you can screw alligator caps on them. The alligator caps have no external threads. What appears to be threads are actually bands designed to facilitate a clip on air chuck.

Thanks
I've already ordered the EEZ TPMS and aren't pass through.
