Towing a vehicle

I have a 2018 FR Forester on a Ford chassis with the v10 gasoline engine.
We have not towed a vehicle before but are considering doing so. Would like to hear from anyone who has a similar set up and has towed a vehicle. Wanting to flat tow/not use a trailer.
Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

We have a 2020 jeep Cherokee trailhawk we tow 4down. No problem whatsoever. Use the tow haul button on full time and have not even noticed a difference in gas mileage.

Towing a GMC Acadia Denali.

It was my daily driver commuting to work. Retired still towing it.

Read the owners manuals you have see if yours can be dinghy towed.

Jeep Wranglers are extremely popular to tow, got to make sure any vehicle is towable and follow your owners manuals instructions to tow. Click image for larger version

Lots of Class C owners on both platforms tow:

And owners on Ford Transit & MB tow smaller vehicles as well.

Research your proposed towed vehicle for suitability first, then your tow options.
Ask questions in the https://www.forestriverforums.com/forums/f12/ (Towing, Tow Vehicles, Hitches & Toads) section of this forum - we'd be happy to help!

Here we are all set up with the toad ready to go out for the day. It is so easy to hook-up and un-hook we take the toad on trips when we don't really need to.

We flat tow a 2018 Ford Fiesta. It's easy to forget it's back there. I haven't even noticed any difference in gas mileage.

Not a flat tow but I tow a ford escape on a dolly, no issues. Can't tell it's back there.
