Trailer wiring on 3011DS

I’ve had my Forester 3011DS for over a year, but noticed only recently that my wiring connector from the motorhome only lights up the running lights. I get no brake lights or turn signal indicator lights on my towed vehicle. I checked my wiring hooked up to my truck and everything works okay. Why would FR make only the running lights active. Now I have to hook up the other wires to my motorhome turn signal and brake wires.

I’m surprised you are getting running lights. You’ll need some type of controller in the toad...it’s not a direct hookup. Don’t know what you’re towing, but here’s a start.

For Jeep JK/JL: https://www.amazon.com/Hopkins-56200...gateway&sr=8-1

I’m towing a Fiat 500 flat tow. Just stick it in manual gear and tow away. I just need my lights to function like my motorhome.

I don’t know the exact number for that part. Go to eTrailer or call them and you’ll find what you need. You definitely need some brand of harness installed to operate the turn and brake lights. Not having the proper isolation, which is in the harness, could cause damage to either the MH or the Toad.
